The Reform UK leader Claims Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts shortly after a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by telling students that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his perspective on the UK education system, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a walkout by educators soon after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They inform little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They promote this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “nonsense”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and questioned whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his political career on dog-whistle politics and now, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their organizations for a fight,” the union leader said.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he claims … Should he become prime minister he would undermine state services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, his comments suggested the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with education – truly monumental. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, he commented: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted at school, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in 2023 led to significant interruptions in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He said organizations like it were “key to resistance”, adding that: “I mean this. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to your online courses. I pledge this now and I’ll do that.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these excellent programs for no charge to all who wish to learn.”
