Springfield's Favorite Family Makes Its Debut in Rocket League: Unfortunately Not the Vehicle You're Dreaming Of
It was previously announced that the iconic animated series was teaming up with Epic Games' battle royale, but that's not the only place where enthusiasts can experience the world of Springfield. The beloved show is also making its way to Rocket League, introducing an in-game car skin that will also be compatible in the Fortnite universe. That said, whether players will truly desire to equip it is another question, as there's only one Simpsons car the community is itching to get behind the wheel of, and this isn't it.
What Fans Really Want
While many players would undoubtedly love to compete behind the wheel of The Homer—the famously flawed car Homer designed himself in the classic installment "the one where he meets Herb"—that's not what players are receiving. Not even getting the Canyonero, the enormous vehicle showcased in season 10. Rather, fans are getting the Simpsons' standard beat-up sedan, which has been in the family since the show's early days. Even though this specific vehicle has accumulated plenty of miles, it remains an iconic element of the series. For those who pay attention to Rocket League car hitboxes, the Simpson family car uses the same hitbox as the Dominus body type.
