A helicopter soaring over a crowded California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, finally losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Recordings posted online show the helicopter beginning to twirl near the shoreline then plunging towards the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the accident on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their wounds were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
