'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teenagers Await Information After Alpine Fire

The relatives of teenagers lost after a deadly blaze at a establishment in a Swiss alpine town are facing an excruciating period of uncertainty for confirmed information and pleading for any details about their loved ones online.

The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Confirmed images reveal the ceiling catching alight as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.

The national sporting body has stated that he is dead, without directly referencing the tragedy, honoring a "young athlete who represented passion and authentic values."

His parent, told media that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has indicated that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Further Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His parent explained that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with a group and ended up at the bar.

"Someone with him informed me they escaped after the fire started and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a identifiable piece of jewelry.
