British Player Secures a £26 Million Euro Millions Top Prize
An individual UK ticket-holder has claimed the £26 million Euro Millions grand prize, lottery officials have verified.
The lucky combination drawn on the Friday draw were 06, 12, 18, 25 and 41, with the Star numbers 02 and 06.
This marks the 3rd EuroMillions grand prize claimed in the United Kingdom so far this year out of the ten held so far.
At the start of the year, an individual secured £83m, followed by a sixty-five million pound February 14 prize. Both winners chose to remain unknown.
Nevertheless, the winner of the Saturday £10.6m UK Lotto top prize has yet to come forward.
A top consultant encouraged players to take a few minutes to verify their entries and electronic messages.
The winning Lotto numbers for Saturday were: 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59 and the additional digit was 42.
"We will be on hand to give advice and provide professional advisors who can help winners make the most of the prize for them and family and friends," the adviser said.
The EuroMillions win will be validated against the game's terms and conditions, and after confirmation, the successful player will decide whether to go public.
Even with granting them vast wealth, the recent win of twenty-six million pounds does not put the winner among the biggest EuroMillions prize recipients.
A jackpot of more than £183m would have been required to earn a position in the leading ten of jackpot prizes.
The largest win secured by a UK player is £195 million in 2022, according to EuroMillions.
Although it is hard to secure a jackpot, it is easier than one might imagine to fail to claim it.
A player missed out on a £1 million jackpot last year after failing to claim a EuroMillions win within the 180-day deadline, meaning the funds was given to good causes supported by the lottery.
The biggest EuroMillions jackpot to go unclaimed in the UK was £63.8 million in 2012.
The European lottery is conducted every Tuesday and Friday evening across nine European countries.
